The Northwest Trade Expo is returning May 3 and 4.

The community and regional trade show will include over 70 business vendors in attendance, live entertainment, food gardens, and kid’s activities.

The Smithers and District Chamber of Commerce is continuing to celebrate its centennial anniversary by making the theme for the event: Celebrating 100 years of Chamber of Commerce Service and Smithers Business History.

New this year will be an upgraded beer and food garden; a second arena opened up with RVs from Coast Mountain, axe throwing and wagon rides. Returning this year will be the kids bouncy castle and more live entertainment.

“The Northwest Trade Expo is one of the most anticipated and largest events of the year that you don’t want to miss,” said chamber manager Sheena Miller. “Where the best of Northern BC gathers under one roof, the expo is packed with over 70 business vendors, live entertainment, food/beer gardens, and family activities, it’s more than just a regional business trade show - it’s a celebration of our community spirit. This is a diverse platform for local and regional businesses, and a community event for all ages and nations.”

The expo will be opened at the Smithers Civic Area and the New Arena on Friday from 3:00 p.m.—9:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m.—5:00.m.

There are still vendor booths available as well as sponsorship opportunities. Anyone interested can contact the chamber directly.
