Every year there are different volunteers who step forward to organise the Forestry golf tournament. This year Noella Herod of Canfor took the lead with the help of colleagues Jill Park and Lisa Wigmore.

There were 34 teams - a turn out of 140 golfers who came out to the Omineca Golf Course earlier this summer.

Noella said that every year there is broad community support for the forest industry golf tournament.

The fun gathering of generous golfers this year provided a donation of $2,500 from their tournament’s net proceeds.

The beneficiary of choice this year is the St. John Hospital Auxilliary Society, specifically for use in support of the Oncology Ward.
