The Sinkutview Elementary School grade 3/4 class has been reading and discussing some inequalities of people inside and outside of our community and country. Part of our discussion was around homelessness.

As a result, Dyllan Beal, Mckenna Loewen, and Danika Giesbrecht decided to head up a bake sale with proceeds going to Neighbourlink in Vanderhoof. We are extremely proud of our class for putting what they have learned into action.

The class baked several goodies, which were sold at the school on Thursday, February 15th. The class set the goal of raising $50, which they surpassed raising a total of $137.25.

The class presented the cheque to Eric Black from Neighbourlink on February 21st. Thank you to the students, parents and staff who contributed to this worthy cause.
