BONITA MELVINA EMMA LAKUSTA

It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bonnie Lakusta after a brief illness at the Prince George Hospice Society House on October 20, 2004. Bonnie was born on November 28th, 1947 at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. At the age of three Bonnie moved to Vanderhoof with her parents Nick and Sylvia Lakusta.

Bonnie spent all of her younger years in Vanderhoof, graduating from Nechako Valley Secondary School. After high school Bonnie went to hairdressing school in Calgary. Upon completion she returned and took up residence in Fort St. James where she met her husband Fred Larsen.

The couple moved to the Prince George area where Bonnie has lived up until her death.

Left to mourn are her Mother Sylvia Lakusta, her brother Wayne Lakusta, her two children Kimberly Broad and Sheila Marcils, her four granddaughters Heather, Danielle, Tamara and Elizabeth. Her grandson Cole, her companion Brian Almos and many friends and relatives.

Bonnie was predeceased by her father Nickalus Lakusta in 1978. A memorial service was held October 24th, 2004 at the Seniors Friendship Hall in Vanderhoof. Bonnie was cremated and graveside services will be held by the family in the spring of 2005.
