CLIFFORD NIESSEN
Cliff passed peacefully into the presence of his Heavenly Father on November 24, 2009 in St. John Hospital, Vanderhoof after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Cliff, born December 2, 1929 was
just eight days short of his 80th birthday.
A celebration of Cliff’s life was held at the Gospel Chapel on November 30th, followed by a tea reception.
He will be missed and fondly remembered by Helen, his devoted wife of 58 years and his children Lois (Irv) Brown, Elizabeth (Ken) Rensby, Kathy (Gary) Hawrys, Jan (Bob) Giesbrecht, Jim (Kathy) Niessen and Audrey (Royce) Giesbrecht, his 13 grandchildren, Ken, Hannah, Tricia, Natasha, Robert, Mike, Dwaine, Russ, Clint, Samantha, Lawrence, Krystle and Kyle and his 23 great grandchildren, his sister Verna Hammond and his brother Lawrence. He will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Heartfelt thanks to our many friends and neighbours for the wonderful support and love they have shown during these recent months.
A very special thank you to Doctors Douwette Coetzee, Gideon Lamprecht and Suzanne Campbell for their awesome and compassionate care. Also to Home Care nurses Julie, Heather, Cindy and Sharon as well as the nursing staff at St. John during Cliff’s brief stays there.
