Suddenly but not unexpectedly, at home in Kingston, Ontario, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 55 years to Patricia O’Meara. Loving and proud father of Ivan (Brenda), Mark (Bernadette), Sean (Karen), Philip (Mary Helen) and David (Jenifir). Proud grandfather of MacKenzie and Fraser, Dhillon and Jordan, Will (Jessie), Megan, Colin, Kendra and Madelin, Vanessa, Georgia, and Pippa, Stuart, Bronwyn, Aidan and Graeme, as well as great grandfather to Trip and Ryleigh. Dear brother of Elizabeth, Anne Louise and Bruce and predeceased by his sister Jane. Trevor was born in Hamilton and graduated from Queen’s University. His lengthy medical career saw him as a medical missionary studying Tropical Medicine in Portugal as well as working 6 years in Kenya. He had a thriving Family Practice in British Columbia and then in Ontario until his death. Trevor had a full and rewarding life, enjoying his family and his church. He was a life member and Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International and an Associate Member of Kin Canada. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends and colleagues. In keeping with Trevor’s wishes, cremation was immediate. Friends called at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. A Celebration of Trevor’s Life was held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Christ Church Parish Centre (990 Sydenham Road) at 2pm, officiated by the Reverend Blair Peever . As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Aplastic Anemia Association (AAMAC) or to the Kin Canada Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
