Photos: Vanderhoof jives to tunes played by the NVSS jazz band

Funds raised will help the school jazz band to attend a festival in Whistler

NVSS held an evening of jazz on March 19.

Over 100 people attended the event and the evening had live music performed by the NVSS Senior and June Jazz Bands.

During the night, attendees also got a lesson in swing dance from Mark and Doris Durupt. Apart from music and dancing, there was a BBQ dinner and a silent auction held as well. All the money raised from the tickets will be used for the school jazz band’s trip to the Whistler Cantando Band Festival.
