Creative writers funding call

B.C. creative writers may apply for up to $12,000 in funding through the BC Arts Council.

The Project Assistance for Creative Writers program assists professional writers with specific creative projects. Eligible genres include drama, fiction, graphic novel, juvenile, non-fiction, poetry and spoken word.

Awards are available to support the creation of new works or the re-writing of existing unpublished or unproduced manuscripts. Applications may be made by individuals or a collaboration of two or more writers who share creative control or authorship of a project.

B.C.-wide warrant

A British Columbia wide warrant has been issued for Darren Troy Sepass, 31, of Chilliwack, for two counts of fail to comply with probation.

RCMP caution the public if sighted, do not attempt to apprehend Sepass and immediately call 911.

Description:

· Aboriginal male

· 178 cm (5”10”)

· 68 kg (150 lbs)

· Brown eyes

· Black hair

· Tribal tattoo on upper right arm

· Two fingers on left hand
