Vanderhoof area prepares to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples' Day

Festivities run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Vanderhoof will celebrate National Indigenous Peoples' Day on Friday, June 20, at Riverside Park.

Festivities are set to take place from 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to "celebrate Indigenous teachings, culture and identity," said the District of Vanderhoof in a Facebook post June 12. 

"It's a day to learn, share and connect with the traditions that make our communities unique."

There will be a variety of things to see and do for all participants, including artists, vendors, dancing and food.
