The tentative date for the next Vanderhoof International Airshow is Saturday August 4, 2018.
This date depends on availability of the Canadian Military which will only be confirmed in December 2017. On August 2, at 6:00 p.m. 15 members of the public and the Vanderhoof International Airshow Society, chaired by Diana Davis, met to discuss areas of responsibility including regulations and permits; safety and security; coordinators, ground transportation; performer kits; hospitality; concession and beer garden; ramp supervision; parking; beer garden; sponsorships; dinner and dance evening and more.
There’s plenty of work to be done, but the society are eager and ready! They certainly need help from the community; volunteers and any kind of sponsorship will be greatly appreciated. It’s always a very expensive but truly worthwhile event which draws crowds from all over.
There is particular focus on the Vanderhoof Airshow in 2018 as the Quesnel Skyfest had to be cancelled due to the wildfires and that was a major dissapointment for everyone involved. The two airshows; Vanderhoof and Quesnel, like to support each other as much as possible.
On Saturday August 13, 2016 The Vanderhoof Airshow tickets were only $5 at the gate which opened at 11:00 a.m.. Flying demonstrations were between 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
