The Vanderhoof International Airshow Society is set to host Masters of the Air exhibition on August 3. The event, which is also to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force, promises a thrilling showcase of historic aircrafts.
Ahead of the main event, on Aug. 1, aviation enthusiasts in Prince George got a sneak preview as the iconic B-17 Flying Fortress, P-40 Kittyhawk, and P-51 Mustang embark on a special flyover before landing at Prince George Airport (YXS) for a media event.
These renowned warbirds then continued their journey to Vanderhoof, where they will feature prominently in the exhibition.
The Masters of the Air exhibition will take place at Vanderhoof Airport from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 3.
Highlights include tours of the B-17 Bomber's interior for $20, and rides in various historic aircraft such as the P-40, P-51, Harvard, and Tiger Moth. Visitors can book these flights through the Vanderhoof Airshow website or on-site at the event.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children aged 12 and under, and free for infants. For more details and to purchase flight bookings, visit the Vanderhoof International Airshow’s website.
