“In selecting Anita for this role, the Board of Education recognized the outstanding leadership, focus on student success, and stakeholder relationships that she has offered to other Districts, and we believe that she is the right candidate for continuing the excellent work our staff has been doing in all aspects of our 2020 – 2025 Strategic Plan," Christie said in the statement.
McClinton, who was born and raised in Northern BC, expressed her enthusiasm for joining the Nechako Lakes team.
"I am committed to improving educational equity in our rural and remote communities," she said.
I am looking forward to working with the Board, staff, Rightsholders, stakeholders and communities to continue creating an inclusive learning community that engages all learners and empowers them to make positive contributions in our evolving global community – together we will drive toward even greater success for every student," she added.
