NVSS hosts successful Cross Country home opener

The Nechako Valley Secondary School (NVSS) Cross Country team kicked off their home season on September 28th, braving chilly temperatures of 4°C under overcast skies. Despite the cool conditions, enthusiasm ran high as 100 runners from eight high schools took to the trails for the second race in the high school X-Country series.

The NVSS team fielded 19 athletes, demonstrating strong performances across various age divisions. The junior teams showcased remarkable talent, with the NVSS Junior Boys and Junior Girls both clinching first place in their respective categories. Meanwhile, Prince George Secondary School took the title for the Senior Boys, and Duchess Park Secondary School secured victory for the Senior Girls.
