The District of Vanderhoof is holding a town hall on Jan. 9 at Nechako Valley Secondary School from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The municipal government will share updates about the community outlook, with the theme of “Where are we now and where are we going?”
Ravi Parmar, the Minister of Forests and MLA for Langford-Juan de Fuca, will also in attendance. The town hall is one stop on a two-week road trip the minister is currently doing of northern B.C to meet with local officials and residents.
"The region is full of forest-dependent communities who expect me as a minister to stand up for them, stand up for this entire sector, and I can only do that if I do a lot of listening and learning," he said. "That's what this tour is about."
