The Ice Demons set the pace early, with Tayden Fowler-McNab scoring just 59 seconds into the game. By the end of the first period, Kitimat led 4-0, thanks to goals from Lucas Aiken, Terry Whelan on a power play, and Chris Vilness.

In the second period, Kitimat continued their dominance, with Jake Robinson finding the net within the first 11 seconds. Jordan Sheasgreen capitalized on another power play opportunity at 3:45, while Joshua Slanina extended Kitimat’s lead to 7-0 by the period’s end.
