13th year of dough for a cause

Smile Cookies have so far donated $39,313 to Auxilliary

2017 is the 13th consecutive year Peter and Maryann Giesbrecht, of Vanderhoof Tim Hortons, have chosen to support the St. John Hospital Auxilliary and their purchase of various much needed equipment and supplies for acute care, pediatric care and other areas of critical care to better serve patients from the surrounding area.

“Thank you to everyone from the community for purchasing almost four thousand one dollar smile cookies during the week-long campaign in September,” says Maryann Giebrecht. “Some years it’s been so popular we’ve run out of chocolate chip cookies and we’ve had to ice smiles on other cookies to keep up!”

“It’s also great to see the generosity of local employers who come and buy a box of cookies for their staff lunch room.”
