A replacement part for their de-icer was delayed by a flight cancellation, but arrived on Dec. 20.
Planes were being de-iced just before noon.
We have just been advised that a replacement part has been successfully installed and we are beginning to de-ice aircraft.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Departing flights from Prince George airport continue to be cancelled, after de-icing equipment broke on Friday, Dec. 17.
The airport posted on Facebook they expect a replacement de-icing machine to arrive later in the day on Monday, Dec. 20. A replacement part set to arrive from Eastern Canada was delayed due to a flight cancellation.
“Unfortunately, this equipment failure has resulted in the grounding of any flights requiring de-icing out of (Prince George) until such time that the de-icing equipment regains functionality,” the airport posted on Facebook.
“We may see some flight activity prior to the equipment repair as the weather improves.”
The airport authority does not own or operate the de-icing equipment.
Departures on Dec. 20 have been either delayed or cancelled, with only three Central Mountain Air flights departing ontime.
