Nine licensed child-care providers in the Nechako-Lakes region will share a small bonus payment of $8,413.46.
The money is being given to childcare organizations receiving funding via the Child Care Operating Funding Program.
The idea is to offset losses to child care clients once the implementation of full-day kindergarten goes into effect.
In September 2011, five year olds will be attending full-day kindergarten.
The funds can be used to purchase additional resources for the children or facility.
