Milder weather over the past week has meant further progress has been made on the new Integris Credit Union building.

“We’ve actually poured the second floor now which we are really excited about,” said Brenda Astorino, Project Coordinator with Integris Credit Union.

“So that means we’ve actually got a building and we’ve got a floor - its very exciting because we didn’t think they would be pouring for a while and they managed to get it done because the weather really warmed up,” she said.

Th cement pouring of the floor can only be done when there isn’t any snow or ice. However the ground floor level can not be poured until it really warms up and the ground entirely thaws out.

the building is still on track to be completed by the end of September.

“We have the architects and engineers coming up at the end of February and we’ll have a more specific timeline at that time...but you can actually see the shape of the building now and i think that’s getting people excited,” said Astorino.
