Another court date has been set for Cody Alan Legebokoff.
He has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Loren Donn Leslie of Fraser Lake.
His lawyer, Bruce Kaun appeared in provincial court on February 8 in Prince George on his behalf. Although the date for a preliminary hearing was sought, Kaun says it’s likely it won’t be set until as late as the beginning of 2012. It is not known whether the hearing, which is expected to last two weeks, will be held in Vanderhoof or Prince George.
Legebokoff has been in custody since he was arrested on November 27, the night that the body of 15-year-old Leslie was found off an unused logging road just north of Vanderhoof on Highway 27.
Kaun will be back in court on February 23 where it is hoped a date will be fixed for the preliminary hearing.
