Vanderhoof Chamber of Commerce sent an email to their members Friday apologizing for the confusion around the Parade of Lights event

“After thoughtful discussions and direct guidance from the Environmental Health Officer regarding the changing requirements under the Public Health Orders specific for the Northern Health region, we will not be holding the Parade of Lights this year, nor any alternative version of a parade,” Michelle Roberge, president for the chamber wrote in a Nov. 26 email.

Meanwhile, “Twelve Hours of Christmas” is still going ahead on Dec. 4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. along with the added Elf on the Shelf, Best Decorated Store window and Shopping Scavenger Hunt.

This initiative is being led by Chamber Director Lesley Chaisson and Manager Philip MBayoh, and interested participants can call the office at 250-567-2124 to learn more.
