Preliminary hearing for Legebokoff set for Vanderhoof court next year

The preliminary hearing for a Fort St. James man accused of murder will be held in Vanderhoof at the beginning of next year.

The preliminary hearing for a Fort St. James man accused of murder will be held in Vanderhoof at the beginning of next year.

Cody Alan Legebokoff has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 15-year-old Loren Donn Leslie of Fraser Lake.

Leslie’s body was found on an unused logging road off Highway 27 just to the north of Vanderhoof on November 27 2010. 

The preliminary hearing will take place over a period of two weeks, starting on January 10-13 and 17-20. The hearing  will decide whether enough evidence is available for a trial against the accused.

Legebokoff, 20, remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial conference on June 29 in Prince George.
