Sinkut View school is inviting readers to come in and see their new Aboriginal section in the library.
In the fall, teachers Mrs. Arnold and Mrs. Borek applied for a grant to purchase Aboriginal books. Their application was accepted and they received a grant for $3,000!
The librarian and teachers spent lots of time looking through catalogues and ordered a collection of fiction and non-fiction books for students to read.
Mrs. Borek’s class reported to have been reading many of the books, and the students said they found the books to be very interesting.
The Vanderhoof Public Library has an adult Aboriginal book collection called the Mary John Collection.
