Vanderhoof Chamber of Commerce holds eventful AGM

Chamber seeking president and secretary after board of directors election

The Vanderhoof Chamber of Commerce held their AGM on March 16 at Scott’s Grille. Michelle Roberge stepped down from her role as chamber president. The non-profit is now looking to fill the roles of preident and secretary.

Roberge said the chamber is especially proud of its new office space in partnership with Rio Tinto, its working contract with the District of Vanderhoof, the “Live, Love, Local” initiative to promote local business and a growing membership list.

Lesley Chaisson presented the new Vanderhoof Chamber App that she has been working on for months with students from BCIT.

The app features a chamber member directory so that members can be found “with a quick click on a smartphone.”

The app is free and also links to tourism, chamber information and events.

The chamber held its elections on the same day. Kevin Wallace was elected vice-president and Adrianna Manwaring was elected treasurer.

The 2022-23 board of directors are Trinda Elwert, Arlynn Klassen, Rhys Wallace, Lesley Chaisson, Nikki Martens, Daveen Wild, Vince Syrette, Kelly Millard, and Allana Reid.
