Vanderhoof Department Store is welcoming people to join its Fun-in-the-Sun week event.
“Come in and walk through our fiesta market walk and find a whole bunch of sale bins, local crafts and some really great sales on regular priced items,” Vanderhoof Department Store said in a March 22 Facebook post.
The event is running from March 23 to March 27.
As per their Mexican theme, the Department Store is offering discounts if people bring in a photo from a beach holiday; if customers visit the store in a sunhat or sandals. And if you are wearing a bathing suit and sandals, get ready for a 40 percent discount.
On March 23, the store had seven people walking in bathing suit.
“It is spring time and people go somewhere hot like Mexico. As everyone has to stay home, we thought we would bring a little taste of that,” said Janet Bangs, owner, Vanderhoof Department Store.
“You can’t go anywhere, so come and enjoy with us because we can’t go anywhere either,” Bangs added.
