Vanderhoof RCMP find ‘suspected cocaine’ on man first arrested for break-and-enter

Vanderhoof police arrested a suspect in a break-and-enter, Tuesday, Jan. 26, which led to a significant seizure of drugs.

After RCMP responded to a break-and-enter in progress, the individual was inside the building and was arrested after a short foot chase, police said in a Jan. 27 news release.

Police then searched the person arrested, who is unnamed in the press release, and located several packages of suspected cocaine.

The suspect is known to the police, and has been held in custody, stated the news release.

As the investigation is currently ongoing, there is no further information available, police said, adding more information will be released as it becomes available.
