Anyone 18 and older in the Vanderhoof area can now register to receive their COVID-19 shot.
Vaccination clinics are set to run from April 30 to May 1, May 3 to May 8 and May 10 to May 14 at the Nechako Senior Friendship Centre in Vanderhoof.
Once registered through the province’s Get Vaccinated program, residents will receive a text or phone call when it is time to book their vaccine appointment, Northern Health (NH) said.

“We’re aware some people may call other points of contact, and where able they may be able to assist with booking an appointment,” said a NH spokesperson.
“But we are asking that they follow the website instructions.”
No walk-ins will be available at the clinics in which residents are required to pre-book their appointment in order for NH to manage flow and maintain COVID measures.
The Vanderhoof area includes Saik’uz First Nation.
At this time NH is using only the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines at their clinics, the spokesperson said.
