In 1919, the family relocated to Fort Fraser where they arrived on the train in the early hours of April 3rd. The family resided in the Wright Investment Building before moving in April of 1921 to their property just east of Fort Fraser which became known as the “View Point Farm.” In 1929, the family moved to Prince George so that Alton could complete his high school education. After completing his schooling in 1932, they returned to the farm in Fort Fraser. In later years, he established Alton Myers Bookkeeping in Vanderhoof where he and Isabel resided for several years. During this time, he served as a Justice of the Peace. After his retirement, he and Isabel moved to the North Shore of Fraser Lake where they built a new log home. Alton was involved in many community efforts, such as the Board of Trade, Farmer’s Institute, Liberal Association, Chamber of Commerce and many others. For a time, he was the Scout Master for the Fort Fraser Group.
