November 30, 1923 - June 10, 2021
Arlene Marie Weaver, "Nana" at 97, went to heaven on June 10, 2021 in Vanderhoof, BC. She was born on November 30, 1923 in Minneapolis, Minnesota as the only child to Anton and Hulda Bloomgren.
As a young child, Arlene lived in Little Falls, Minnesota and Kansas before moving to Sweet Home, Oregon where she graduated in 1941. During WW11, she worked various civil service jobs in Washington and California and a highlight for her was working for Captain Ronald Reagan!
After the war, Arlene returned to Sweet Home and met Ben Weaver! They were married in 1950. They were blessed with two boys, Scott and Tim. The family later moved to Omak, Washington and operated the A & W Drive In for a few years. Ben and Arlene immigrated to Vanderhoof, BC in 1973 to enjoy the hunting and fishing the north provided. Arlene enjoyed many trips across Canada and the USA visiting relatives.
Nana loved spending time with family, gardening, travelling to see her relatives, doing genealogy, and simply enjoying a cup of coffee. Family and friends will always recall the "feisty ole" gal with a lot of spunk, and an attitude towards life that has inspired many to live with her zest, curiosity, character and grace.
Left to cherish her memory and legacy is Scott (Candy) Weaver of Vanderhoof, BC. Tim (Pam) Weaver of Dundee, Oregon.
