Betty was born in 1937 in Halstead, Kansas to Phyllis and Michael Meyer. She married the love of her life, Jan Zandbergen in 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta. She is survived by Jan, her husband of 50 years and her four children, Ron (Anita), Tim (Noriko), Renee (Dan) and Melody (Scott) and 6 grandchildren. Betty wore many names during her life. These included wife, mother, honey, nana, dorm mom, teacher, friend, mentor, sister, aunt……. She lived a full life and will be greatly missed by all.
