March 27, 1932 - January 23, 2020
Our father passed away on January 23 in his 87th year. Special thanks to Dad's friends Shirley & Joe and Sharon & Karl who attended to him during his last days. Thanks also to the staffs of The Manor, St. John's Hospital and Grace Memorial Funeral Home for their care.
Dad was born in Fernie BC on March 27, 1932. As a young man he enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Before joining the Canadian Navy he worked in a local coal mine and also with an Alberta gas company. He served 23 years in the navy before retiring to Victoria BC where he had raised his family.
Dad was predeceased by his wife Edna and leaves behind children; Terry (Joanne), Roxanne (Richard), Valerie (Brent), grandchildren; Heather, Jana, Lisa, Steven, Brendan, and great-grandchildren Damion and Emily, all of Vancouver Island.
Dad spent his final years with Edna in Vanderhoof BC where he was an active member of the senior's community.
