Carol Martens went to be with her Lord on January 6, 2006 at the age of 63.
Survived by her loving daughters Kathy (Bernie) Thiessen of Edson, Alberta, Lorie (Michael) Martens of Vanderhoof, BC and Marlene (Doug) Petrie of Armstrong, BC. Sons Robert (Cindy) Martens of Vanderhoof, BC and Larry (Shelli) Martens of Vanderhoof, BC. Grandchildren Travis, Jacqueline, Brett, RaShell, Aimee, Christopher, Tanner, Shyne, David & Triniti. Brother John Paladin of Vanderhoof, BC. And many, many friends. Carol was predeceased by husband David Martens Jr, mother Christine Penner & father Ben Penner. Public viewing was at 1pm, January 13, 2006. Funeral service were held on January 13, 2006 at 2pm from the Gospel Chapel with pastor Mark Engel officiating. Interment to follow in the Vanderhoof Cemetery.
Funeral services under the direction of Assman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the Cancer Society.
