LEE, Doris Velma
September 7, 1930 –
January 4, 2007
It is with great sadness that
we announce the peaceful
passing of Doris Velma Lee
on January 4, 2007 at the
age of 76. Doris was born
September 7, 1930 in Rosetown,
Saskatchewan.
She was predeceased by
her husband Doug and sisters
Peggy and Helen.
Doris was a loving mother
to sons Dan (Shelley), David
(Jacquie) and stepson
Randy. Her greatest joys
and proudest moments were
spent with her grandchildren,
Steven, Dana, Kaitlyn and
step-grandchildren Charly
and Mike (Jada). She also
had four great-grandchildren,
Larissa, Brett, Dylan
and Amara.
Doris is survived by her sisters
Eileen Drewry, Ruby
Carrier and brother Ralph
(Deanna) Stinson. She will
also be missed by several
nieces and nephews who
were an important part of her
life.
Doris will be fondly remembered
by her keen sense of
humour, which never seemed
to fade. She touched many
lives during her years in Vanderhoof
and continued to do
so when she moved to Duncan,
even though she never
realized how much effect her
supportive words and everlistening
ear made on many,
many people.
For their help and support,
we‘d like to thank all her family,
friends and neighbours
who gave so much of their
time to help care for Doris.
Also, thank you to the caring
staff at Cowichan Home
Support and Harmony
Health Care. We would like
to extend a special thank you
to the nursing staff at the Cowichan
Lodge. Your warmth
and caring made her fi nal
days comfortable and digni-
fi ed and for that we will be
always be grateful.
A memorial service and internment
is being planned
for Burnaby, B.C. At Doris’s
request, in lieu of fl owers,
donations can be made at
any branch of the Salvation
Army.
