After serving in the Military during WWII, they moved to Fraser Lake, B.C. where Doug owned and operated his own sawmill. He was a hard working man with two hard working hands and a heart of gold. Retiring in 1972 they moved to Vancouver Island to be closer to their parents.
He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife Bruna, three brothers, Frank (Jean), Norman (Bella), Keith (Esther) daughter Marlene (Phil), son-in-law Bob, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
He is reunited now with his Mother and Father, his brother Ron and daughter Rosalind.
No service held at Doug’s request. He will be dearly
missed by family and friends.
