ELMER RICHARD
REDEKOP
Passed into the Presence of
his Lord on Dec. 26, 2005
with his family by his side.
Elmer had been experiencing
years of deteriorating health
but still valiantly carried
on doing as many things to
make life worthwhile as he
could.
He enjoyed creating beautiful
things in his woodshop
and baking the best pies
and cookies and other great
dishes. Elmer was a logging
contractor in Vanderhoof for
many years and then for a
couple of years he operated
the OK Cafe for the Historical
Society in Vanderhoof,
which he really enjoyed.
He coached ball for some
years and enjoyed hunting,
and boating with his kids.
Him and Linda enjoyed
travelling. He is survived
by his loving wife Linda of
52 years, 3 sons, Richard
(Roselynn), Stan (Donna)
and Randy (Shelly). Grandchildren,
Tracy, Michelle, Sadie,
Gunnar, Randy, (Richard),
Kris, Jennifer (Stan)
Dayla, Bianca, (Randy) and
9 great grandchildren. He
is also survived by brothers
Vic, George (Joyce), Dave
(Connie) and sisters Joyce
(Sandy) Dougal and Bernice
(John) Chalk.
Predeceased by 2 children.
Leslie in 1970 and Bonnie
Lynn in 1976. He will
be sadly missed. He was
a faithful, respected good
man who leaves a big hole
in the lives of his family.
Precious in the sight of the
Lord is the death of his
Saints. Funeral service was
held Saturday, December
31, 2005 at the Lake Country
Alliance Church in Winfi eld,
BC at 1 pm. Internment to
follow at Vanderhoof Cemetery
on Friday, January 6th,
2006 at 11 am.
