Feb. 11, 1926 - April 12, 2017
At the age of 91, Frank Dye passed away peacefully April 12, 2017 in the Maple Ridge Seniors Village Carehome in Maple Ridge BC after a 16 year battle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s. He was a WWll Vet and long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion (51 years), a loving husband & the best Dad ever. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ramona Dye (Holgate) and his two daughters, April Dye of Vancouver BC, and Barb Gardey (Dye) & son-in-law Joerg Gardey (Yogi) of Maple Ridge BC. Frank was born in Mapes BC on Feb. 11, 1926 (at Mrs. Baxter’s house and yes that is on his birth certificate). He is also survived by his sister Dorothy Walstom (Dye) and brother-in-law Oscar Walstom & family of Vanderhoof BC. He was predeceased by his kid brother Jack Dye of Fraser Lake BC and Sister Grace Christensen (Dye) of Burns Lake BC. There will be no service as that was Dad’s wishes. He may no longer be beside us, but he is now above us and watching over us until we meet again.
