Surrounded by her loving family, Jaclyn went to be with the Lord after having won her battle with cancer, Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital, Vanderhoof, B.C. Jaclyn is survived by her mother, Mary (Bill) Inden, her father, Reg Koop (Marjo), their siblings, Kris, Cody, & Kara Koop, Adam & Kandace Price, Anna Inden (Wes) & baby girl Kora, Heidi Inden (Devon), & Tim Inden, grandmother, Mrs. Anne Funk, Jaclyn’s special dog, ‘Oliver’, & many, many, relatives & friends. A service of remembrance was held, Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Northside Mennonite Church, with Pastor Mark Schmidt officiating. Jaclyn was very thankful for the overwhelming support given her and her family throughout her illness. More than anything, she wanted to have the chance to return that kindness by helping others, (particularly financially) in the same situation as her own. It is in that spirit, that the “Jaclyn Koop Memorial Fund” has been established. The fund will financially assist cancer patients and their families, (not otherwise assisted by existing agencies, financial institutions, etc.), whenever the need arises, and according to the specific criteria.
