In Loving Memory ~ James Donald Anderson, left us too soon at the age of 70, on February 2, 2021 after a short and heroic battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. A brave warrior forever in our hearts.
A mentor and friend to all who crossed paths with him. A kind soul who loved to give advice and help everyone he met. A true father and friend who didn't mix words and who was always motivated by what he thought was best for you.
Jim was the beloved husband of Monica (whom he met on a blind date in 1969 while stationed with the Canadian Armed Forces in Petawawa, Ont.) They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. He was a beloved father to daughter Tracy (Shaun), son Steven (Heidy) and a cherished grandfather to Caidy, Noah, Avery and Jonah.
After growing up in Vanderhoof and having discovered a passion for his work, Jim's career afforded him and his family opportunities to explore the world. Jim enjoyed working and living throughout BC, central Mexico, the highlands of Papua New Guinea, Australia, and Venezuela, until finally deciding to retire in the Yukon close to family.
Retirement lasted all of six months before he started working again with his own consulting business. Jim maintained great lifelong friendships with amazing people from wherever he worked and lived.
Sincere thanks are extended to Dr. Avery and Dr.Kmet at the Whitehorse Hospital along with the remarkably kind team at the Whistle Bend Palliative Care facility.
Thank you to all the family and friends who have provided love and support during this very difficult time.
Once the family is able to come together safely there will be a celebration of his life.
On the other side of the stars, I'll see you again.
I don't know how I'll get there, but I'll see you again.
Even though you left us early, I know I'll see you again.
