Jeannine Marie Hawley (Boettcher)

Jeannine Marie Hawley (Boettcher) went to her heavenly home on Feb.21, 2006 after a brief illness at Langley Memorial Hospital in Langley BC. Jean was born in Spencer, Nebraska on Feb 19, 1940. She grew up in Skagit Valley, Washington, where she married her high school sweetheart Douglas Hawley in 1958. They moved to Burns Lake, British Columbia in 1975 to pursue ranching and raising their family. Sixteen years later they moved to Francois Lake, BC to retire and travel. She loved the water, the outdoors, and her culinary talents were appreciated by all. Her true passion was her family, friends and genuine love for people. Jean is survived by her husband Douglas, at the family home at Francois Lake BC, sons Kent (Karen), of Vanderhoof BC, Kelly (Christy) of Burlington WA, Doug (Daile) of Langley BC, daughter Jana (David)of Washington DC, and 8 grandchildren, her father Albert Boettcher, brothers John (Jeanine), Albert (Shirley) of Burlington WA. as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert, and her mother Elsie.

A celebration of Jean’s life to be held at Stellako Reserve Hall, Fraser Lake, BC on Saturday, March 4 at 1pm.
