Joanne Rose Bech-Hansen (nee Plume)
(August 27, 1950 - January 16, 2011)
On Sunday morning, Jesus chose to free Joanne from her pain and call her home. Her fight was long and hard, but she fought it with all her might. She was a gentle, strong woman with an infectious laugh and a deep love for those around her. Joanne was born in Kimberley, BC, and developed a love for the Rockies and the outdoors. She moved from the Kootneys in her 20’s, but a piece of her heart remained in her Rockies for the rest of her life. She
was predeceased by her twin brother James and her parents Esther and Allen. She will be forever missed by her children Amber, Mathew, and Heather, her ex-husband Flemming, extended family and many friends.
The family thanks Dr. Ken Perrier, the nurses at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital, and the staff at the Wal-Mart pharmacy for all the care they provided for Joanne.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences
or questions regarding the memorial can be sent to the family at rememberingjo@gmail.com.
