Kenneth Leander

December 13, 2006
Ken passed away peacefully
at the Shuswap Lake General
Hospital on December 13 at
the age of 78 years. Ken is
survived by his loving wife
Elsie, his family, one son Rene
(Cheryl) daughters Debbie
(Kelvin) and Joanne (Marlon),
grandchildren, Christopher,
Andrew, Peter, Kyle and
Katrina and one sister Doreen
(Ron).
Ken was predeceased by his
parents, two brothers and his
son Peter. He loved woodworking
in his shop at home
and was very successful in
genealogy. All his genealogy
work has been donated to the
Mormon Church Temple Records
in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ken was born in Vancouver,
BC, and was employed as a
ranch hand and in the logging
industry in the interior of British
Columbia.
Ken and Elsie bought a small
farm in Forest Grove, BC
and then moved the family
to Vanderhoof, keeping his
employment with the Bond
Brothers Sawmill. In Vanderhoof
they made a loving home
for 27 years before moving to
Enderby, BC in 1997. Ken was
baptized into the Church of
Latter Day Saints in 1981 in
Vanderhoof. Ken will be sadly
missed by family and many
friends.
