Lawrence Clifford Snyder (Slim) was born May 24, 1922 at Youngstown, Alberta. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force 1942 - 1945 at

Souris and Stevenson Field, Manitoba. He married

Marjorie Adeline Bray June 26, 1945 at Brandon Manitoba. Marj and Slim & family moved to Mapes BC June 1956. Slim worked for Nechako Motors and then School District 91 until retirement in 1985. Due to failing health he moved into Omineca Lodge May 2004. Slim was predeceased by his parents, step father Ed Fisher, sisters Sarah & June, & brother Raymond. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Marjorie, in care at Stuart Lake Hospital, his children and their spouses: Joan (Bob) Mumford, David (Lyndia) Snyder, Brian (Mavis) Snyder, Paul (Leslie) Snyder, Susan (Bob) Berry, Janet (Manu) Madhok, Dean (Misty) Snyder, 15 grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren, his sister Dorothy of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, and his brother George of Powell River, B.C.

Funeral Service was held Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the Mapes Baptist Church, Interment at Mapes Cemetery. Bill Friesen was the officiating minister, his sons and son-in-laws were the pallbearers. Grace Memorial
