Lief Larson

September 9, 1923 -

May 25, 2009

Lief passed away May 25, 2009 in St. John Hospital, Vanderhoof at the age of 85.

He was born in Entwistle, Alberta and at the age of

8 his family moved to the Fraser Lake area and settled in the Nithi Valley. He lived there most of his life working at ranching and logging.

In 1952 he married Violet Johnson and together they

raised 4 children. In 1988 he retired and moved to the Willowvale area and then to a small acreage at Engen where he lived the rest of his life. Lief is survived by wife Violet, sons Bruce (Silvia), Chet (Mary-Anne), Gordon (Melodie) and daughter Barbara (Keith) Campbell, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother John and sisters Agnes Reed and Esther (Keith) LePoidevin, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Julia, 6 brothers, 3 sisters and grandson Robbie.

Funeral Service was held at the Lakeview Bible Chapel in Fraser

Lake on June 1, with Pastor Len Harms offi ciating. Interment at

Fraser Lake Cemetery.

We would like to thank the staff at St. John Hospital for the excellent care given him during last week. Special thanks to Dr. Sean Ebert, Dr. Lamprecht and the nurses who cared for him so well.

Thanks also to Grace Memorial Funeral Chapel for all the help they gave us, Pastor Len Harms and the family and many friends who supported us during this diffi cult time.
