Marjorie Ann Elliot

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of dear mother, nan, greatnan and friend, Marjorie Ann Elliot (nee Kennedy). Marj passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family and friends on November 23, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Marj was born in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan on April 20, 1934 . She met

and married the love of her life, Gordon Elliot on August 12, 1955. Doug (Bonnie), their first of six children was born in Saskatchewan before moving to Prince George, B.C. in 1957. Their family continued to grow, with the births

of Don (Monica), Dean (Julie), Darlene (Steve), Denice (Bruce) and Jacquie (David). The family eventually planted roots in Vanderhoof, BC in 1965 and it continues to grow. She is survived by her brother Russ Kennedy (Ev), sister

Darlene Peterson (El), her six children, ten grandchildren,

many great grandchildren and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Gordon, father: Don, mother: Mabel, father-in-law: Edward, mother-in-law: Ella, brother: Ray (Peggy), daughterin- law Margaret. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and home workers for all their help and support. A special thanks to

Dr. Watson and Dr. Wong. A memorial service will be

held on Friday, November 28th, 2008 at 1:00pm at

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. A tea will follow at the home of Jacquie and David Lee at 2505 Trillium Terrace, Duncan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marj’s name to the SPCA.
