Patrick Raymond Craig
October 20, 1945 - September 4, 2011
Patrick Raymond Craig was born to Norval & Alberta Craig on October 20th, 1945 in Kamloops, BC. He arrived a half hour before his twin brother Mike. The family resided in Bridge Lake, BC on Twin Lakes. The Craig’s later moved to Vanderhoof, BC and settled in the Loop Road area. Pat worked on the farm where they raised pigs and grew vegetables. Pat also helped out at “Craig’s Drive In”, a restaurant owned by his older brother Tom. Pat always had a passion for cooking and loved to share his famous Clam Chowder, “Hot” Chilli and Smoked Fish.
As a teenager, Pat decided to venture out on his own and began cooking at Bednesti resort. He later worked at Park Brother’s Sawmill which was purchased by Slocan - Plateau. Pat remained there for the next 42 years. Pat enjoyed his job and throughout the years made many friends.
Pat has a passion for fishing and spent many a day depleting the stock in both Lavoy and Nulki Lakes. He bowled throughout his life and was often proudly displayed on the “King” board at the local bowling alley. Pat’s greatest passion was his love for all of his family.
Pat’s “never give up attitude” had gotten him through life’s challenges before but after battling cancer over the last six years...it was not to be. Pat went into a coma on September 4, 2011. He was surrounded by family... and will be missed as a brother, uncle, partner and friend.

Survived by: Marilyn Moore (life partner, Charles & Hollie), Joan Holgate - sister (George), Michael Craig - brother (Marlene), Susan Kurz - sister (Gary). Nephews, nieces and great, and great, great: James Nicholson (Daphne, Colleen, Timothy and Cindy), Brenda Jackson (Eric, Beau & Seth), Franklin Craig (Nicole, Aspen & Havana), Christine Westerlaken (Ray, Claire & Jack), Thomas Kurz (Myrtle), Joanne Penner (Pete, Dustan, Benjamin & Calvin), Rhonda Wiebe (Bernie, Jaden, Delena & Eric), Robin McIntyre (Capper, Charlee & Ronan), Stephanie Lindstrom (Daryl, Oliver & Emily), Cohen & Keagan Reid, Avalyn Penner.
