Robert Henery Zielke. March 14, 1936 - April 25, 2011
Bob was born in Burns Lake, March 14, 1936. He was the
middle child, with two brothers and three sisters. His first
job was delivering groceries for the Hudson Bay Company
after school and on weekends. He then became a delivery
driver for Beatt y Cleaners travelling all the way to Fort
St. James. Bob took a meat cutting course and worked
in Ally Turner’s store. In 1960 Bob took a job at the Tom Boy store in Prince Rupert where he met his wife, Marion. After the Tom Boy store closed they both went to work for the Co-op in 1961. Bob’s family grew in 1963 with the arrival of their first child Robert. In 1965 Bob went to work for Columbia Cell and did a variety of jobs working on the water. Their second child Leanne arrived in 1970 but was called back to heaven a short 21 months later. In 1973 their youngest, Rhonda was born and the family moved to Vanderhoof. Bob worked for L&M Sawmill for the next 28 years. Bob was so proud with the arrival of his first grandchild, Morgan, in 1992. His pride and joy grew
with the arrival of Tanner in 1998 and again in 2010 with the arrival of Sebastian. We will all fondly remember the camping trips with the accordion, his wonderful piano playing and his beautiful flowers and garden. You were loved by many.
