It is with great sadness, the family of Ron Goodland, announces his peaceful passing on January 20, 2019. Ron was born in Vanderhoof, B.C., to Matt and Bernice (Berg) Goodland.
Ron began his career in logging at the age of 16 and continued working in this field up until the last two years when he fell ill. He married Clare (Ahlm) in 1984. During their early marriage Ron enjoyed going to Stuart Lake, boating, fishing and just relaxing. He spent lots of time at the gun range and many a turkey was won for his shooting skills. Ron got into raising horses for a number of years and produced some beautiful animals. He got hooked on cutting horses and this soon became his passion.
Ron was predeceased by his parents. Ron will be lovingly remembered and missed dearly by his wife Clare, son Matthew (Alina), daughter Candice (Norm) Giesbrecht, four grandchildren, brothers Randy (Donna) and Dick (Sheri) and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the BC Cancer Agency would be appreciated.
