We regret to announce the passing of Russell Gervais

Carswell on May 24, 2008 at the Pines Care Facility in

Burns Lake, BC at the age of 84 years old. He was a very

private person, loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting. He worked as a guide and caretaker on Lake Temogami, Ontario from 1953-1974. Then moved to Sundridge, Ont. to do farming until 1978.

He decided to move to BC running a motel business and

doing trapping up around the Burns Lake area until he retired. He then moved to Fort St. James where he spent most of his retired life. He will be sadly missed by his daughter and son-in-law Maureen and Doug Deacan, Fraser Lake; Ron Carswell and Kookie Olson, Fort St. James; Lorraine and Percy MacWiven, Vernon, BC; Gwen and Phil

May of Bracebridge, Ontario, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great

grandchildren. Forever in our hearts.
