“No Sad Tears For Me”
I hope by now the initial shock of my departure has begun to fade into beautiful thoughts of the past times together. Unroll the carpet of memories, taking time to keep apart the pleasant ones to record.
There is only one thing I ask of you all: “no sad tears” for me, for most of life’s emotions have been mine. Recall me instead with a smile as the Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, or Friend who shared your laughter and tears. I loved you all, so please remember me and find strength in the times we shared.
I’m thankful for the years God allotted to me, I lived a full life and it was good. I laughed a lot and cried a little. Remember our times as a family; the birthdays, graduations, weddings, the birth of babies.
No man really dies as long as there is someone in this living world that remembers him with fond recall and their memory invokes a wistful smile or hearty laugh. Those who love and have loved will never die as they earned a portion of immortality in the hearts of those that are left to finish life’s scroll.
So, I ask One Thing Only...”No Sad Tears For Me”.
