In Loving Memory ~
With great grief and with great love in their hearts, Tim's family is announcing that Tim Deadman passed away at 67 years of age as a result of complications from ALS.
Tim spent his life respecting everyone with whom he crossed paths and believing in the goodness of others. His job of 37 years as a probation officer was not just a vocation; it was an avocation. Whether at work or at home, Tim lived his life fully. While he would have enjoyed a few more years in this world, he left it without regrets.
Tim loved his family: his wife Lauren, daughter Miranda, daughter Shelley (deceased), father Ted (Edward Donald) Deadman of Union Bay, and sister Nancy Deadman and her spouse Becky of Toronto.
He greatly appreciated the loving support of his niece Heather Wichart (and her daughter Holly) of Port Hardy, friends near and far, and family in BC, other provinces, and other countries.
Tim wished to recognize the outstanding support provided from the very beginning by the ALS Clinic and the ALS Society, both in Vancouver, as well as the Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program, and Island Health, especially Dr. Wong.
The quality of his life was enhanced by the contributions of the Home Support team, the nurses in Ambulatory Care, the Physiotherapists, and the Occupational therapists.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the ALS Society, https://www.alsbc.ca/, would be appreciated.
At Tim's request, a wake will be held in Port Hardy at a later date.
